Panthers Finish in 9th at Grove City Fall Invitational

Grover City, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team hit the links for the second time this week on Thursday, as they shot a 330 at the Grove City Fall Invitational, putting them in 9th place for the tournament.

The Panthers posted a score of 330, which is their lowest score of the season so far. They were 23 strokes behind the hosts, Grove City, who won the tournament at 307.

Ben Tubbs led the Panthers once again, as he posted a score of 79, which put him in a tie for 17th. Max Bizzak was the next-best finisher for the Panthers, as he was tied for 33rd at 81. Brody Kamuda and Connor Smith rounded out the scoring for the Panthers, both finishing at 85. Curtis Barner shot a 92, while Andrew Heinze played as an individual, posting a score of 93.

The Panthers have a big weekend ahead as they head to the Altoona area for the two-round Mountain Valley Classic hosted by Mount Aloysius and Penn State Altoona.  They start the trip on Saturday with the first round hosted by Mount Aloysius at Summit Country Club in Cresson. It will close on Sunday with the second round at Sinking Valey Country Club, hosted by Penn State Altoona.
