Schneider Picks Up AMCC Player of the Week Honors

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball player Nathan Schneider has been named AMCC Player of the Week after a strong season debut.

Schneider averaged 26.0 points and 13.7 rebounds per game for Pitt-Bradford this week.

In the Panthers' season-opening win over Houghton, Schneider was dominant scoring a career-high 41 points, while also grabbing 23 rebounds.

He was named to the All-Tournament team at the Ron Linhart Memorial Classic, hosted by Heidelberg. Playing against strong competition in Olivet and Wisc.-Whitewater, Schneider averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, including another double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds against Wisc.-Whitewater.

Last season, Schneider won the AMCC Player of the Week 4 times and was named 1st Team All-Conference.

Schneider and the rest of the Panthers will be on the road for their next game, as they travel to Hiram for a non-conference matchup. They will return to KOA Arena on Friday, Nov. 18 when they host Wells.
