Schneider Wins 3rd AMCC Player of Week Award

Bradford, Pa. -- University of Pittsburgh at Bradford junior Nathan Schneider was named AMCC men's basketball player for the third time this season after his strong individual performance against Pitt-Greensburg this weekend.

Schneider scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the Panthers' tough loss to Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday. He made 12-of-17 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line. He also dished out five assists and blocked a shot. Schneider had previously been named conference player of the week on November 15th and 29th. He is currently 2nd in the AMCC in scoring with 19.8 points per game and 1st in rebounding at 10.5 per contest.

The Panthers defeated Penn State-DuBois 94-62 to close out 2021 with a 6-5 record. They will return to action after the New Year with a non-conference home game with Hiram on Monday, January 3rd. They will then return to AMCC play with home games against Mount Aloysius and Penn State-Behrend on Wednesday the 5th and Saturday the 8th.
