Panthers to Finish off Home Stand with Penn State-Behrend

Bradford, Pa. – After picking up a hard-fought victory over Mount Aloysius on Wednesday, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will finish off a 5 game home stand by hosting Penn State Behrend on Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers got back into the win column in AMCC play in their midweek matchup with Mount Aloysius. The Panthers used 33 points from Isaiah Archie and another 12 on four three-pointers from Alex Rodriguez to take down the Mounties. Nathan Schneider grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds.

Isaiah Archie still leads the AMCC in scoring, as he averages 23.7 per contest. He is in the top 5 in field goal percentage, as he is shooting 57.4% from the field. Schneider is just behind Archie in scoring, as he adds 19.5 per game, and also leads the league in rebounding, grabbing 11.2 per game. Alex Rodriguez is one of the more efficient three-point shooters in the league. He is shooting 50% from beyond the arc, which is the third-best in the AMCC.

The Lions are 9-2 this season and in the midst of a 6-game winning streak. They took down Pitt Greensburg 66-52 in their midweek matchup behind 18 points and 12 rebounds from AMCC Preseason Player of the Year Kenny Fukon.

Fukon is the leader for the Lions, as he is currently 3rd in the AMCC in scoring and 2nd in rebounding. He averages 19.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Senior PJ Gourley scores 15.7 points per game for the Lions, shooting 54.6% from the field and 56.5% from three, the second-best percentage in the AMCC. Tommy DiRienzo is the only other Lion averaging double figures, as he scores 12.0 per game.

The following regulations will be in place to align with Pitt-Bradford's COVID-19 mitigation efforts for indoor events. All spectators, game staff, officials, and team members not actively participating on the court are required to wear a mask at all times. Masks must be affixed to cover the wearer's nose and mouth. All spectators will be required to sign in upon their entrance into the facility, as the lists will be used in any contact tracing efforts that may become necessary. They will be required to provide a name and contact phone number to game staff.

The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. tip-off in KOA Arena.
