Panthers Look to Return to Win Column against Mounties

Bradford, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will look to return to the win column in AMCC play on Wednesday as they host Mount Aloysius.

The Panthers returned to action after the holiday break with a non-conference matchup against Hiram. Despite a strong start, the Panthers fell to the Terriers by a score of 95-86. Nathan Schneider had a game-high 29 points and 16 rebounds, and Alex Rodriguez set a new career-high with 17 points.

Schneider has been a focal point for the Panthers, as he is 2nd in the AMCC in scoring with 22.8 points per game and 1st in rebounding with 10.9 per contest. Isaiah Archie has also been a key piece for the Panthers, as he is the AMCC's top scorer, averaging 22.8 points per game. Rodriguez is currently 3rd in the conference in three-point shooting percentage, making 52.9% of his attempts. Freshman Trey Oyler is just behind him in 4th with a 51.4% percentage.

The Mounties enter the contest with a 2-11 record overall, with a 0-4 mark against AMCC foes. In their last contest, they fell to Washington & Jefferson by a score of 79-65.

Carlos Palacio has led the Mounties in scoring this season, averaging 18.9 points per game. He also collects 7.6 rebounds per game. Three other Mounties also average double-digit points per game. Jason Coronado averages 13.2, while Dwayne Jones and De'Von Haggans score 12.0 and 10.9 per contest respectively. Haggans is the team's leading rebounder with 8.1 per game. He is also one of the more efficient scorers in the AMCC, as he is shooting 61.2% from the field, the second-best percentage in the conference.

The following regulations will be in place to align with Pitt-Bradford's COVID-19 mitigation efforts for indoor events. All spectators, game staff, officials, and team members not actively participating on the court are required to wear a mask at all times. Masks must be affixed to cover the wearer's nose and mouth. All spectators will be required to sign in upon their entrance into the facility, as the lists will be used in any contact tracing efforts that may become necessary. They will be required to provide a name and contact phone number to game staff.

Although originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. the game will begin at 6:00 p.m. in KOA Arena.
