Men's Basketball Returns to KOA Arena for Matchup with Juniata

Bradford, Pa.-- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will play in front of a home crowd for the first time since February of 2020 on Tuesday Night when they host the Juniata Eagles in a non-conference matchup.

The Panthers have gotten off to a strong start, winning their first two games over Houghton and Wells on the Road. They went to overtime against Houghton with Nathan Schneider hitting a game-winner with under 2 seconds to go, giving the Panthers a 79-77 win. They followed that up with a 75-68 win over the weekend. Schneider has been the leader for the Panthers in the early season as he averaged 24.0 points and 12.5 rebounds per game last week. He is currently second in the conference in scoring and first in rebounding and was named AMCC Player of the Week yesterday. Freshman Isaiah Archie has also been a key cog in the Panther offense, as he has averaged 17.0 points per game in his first two collegiate contests. His brother Greg Archie is the only other Panther to average double figures, scoring 10.0 per game.

The Juniata Eagles enter the game with a 0-1 record after falling to Penn State-Altoona 67-65 in their season opener. The Eagles led the tight battle by two points with under two minutes to go but a late three and a last-second free throw held won the game for Penn State-Altoona. Evan Eisenhart and Chase Husted both scored 14 points and to lead the Eagles. They also each grabbed 7 rebounds. Ross Conway was Juniata's leading rebounder, grabbing 8.
