McNabb, Fragela Named All-AMCC

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team had two players recognized by the AMCC on Tuesday as Senior Jake McNabb and Sophomore Evan Fragela received All-Conference honors for the 2022 season.

McNabb was voted 2nd Team All-AMCC at the utility position, as he split his time this season at catcher and designated hitter. McNabb finished his senior season with a .324 batting average with 1 home run, 19 runs scored and 16 driven in. He increased his production in conference play, posting a .348 batting average with a .441 on-base percentage. He scored 13 runs against AMCC opponents. He threw out 8 runners stealing in his games behind the dish while allowing just 5 passed balls on the way to a .991 fielding percentage. This was the first time McNabb was voted to an All-Conference team.

Fragela made the 3rd team as a catcher. He was the Panthers' leading hitter, as he posted a .367 batting average, slugged .508 and recorded 13 extra-base hits including 10 doubles, 2 triples, and a home run. He drove in 17 runs and scored a team-leading 25. Fragela also threw out 7 potential base stealers on the season, with 5 of them coming in AMCC play. It is the first time Fragela has earned all-conference honors.

The Panthers finished their season with a 12-23 overall record. Their 5-11 AMCC record put them just outside of playoff contention.
