Hot Start Earns Tim Brown AMCC Hitter of the Week Honors

Pitt-Bradford baseball player Tim Brown was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Hitter of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

In three games last week, Brown batted .667 with two home runs, five RBIs and five runs scored. The junior outfielder swatted both home runs in the team's 22-8 season-opening win over Juniata. He connected for a three-run shot in the fifth and added a two-run blast in the ninth inning, finishing the day a perfect 4-4 at the plate.

The Maple Heights, Ohio, native went 2-5 with a walk and a run scored in a two-game series against Juniata. He currently leads the Panthers with a 1.333 slugging percentage and .769 on-base percentage.

It marks the first time in Brown's career he has been named AMCC Hitter of the Week.
