Diane Eggleton ‘96
A native of Montrose, PA, Diane Eggleton played on the women's basketball team from 1992-96. She received her bachelor's degree in human relations in 1996 and continued her education by receiving her master's in exercise physiology from the University of Arkansas.
The 5'11" center/forward ranks first in several women's basketball records at Pitt-Bradford; for most career points with 1,610, points in a season with 640, points in a game with 37, career field goals made with 643, season field goals made with 261, field goals in a game with 17, career field goal percentage with .531, and .580 season field goal percentage. Eggleton also ranks second in career rebounding with 826, is third in career free throws made with 324 and placed fourth in rebounds in a season with 270.
Diane was name Pitt-Bradford's Female Scholar Athlete of the Year as a sophomore, junior, and senior. IN her junior season, she lead the Lady Panthers to their best-ever record at 22-11, broke the 1,000 career-point barrier and was given the NAIA Liston Award for academic and athletic excellence. In her senior year, the Lady Panthers finished 17-7 and were ranked No. 1 in the NAIA in rebound margin of 12.5 rebounds per game and third in the nation in scoring defense with 54.1 points per contest. Diane was named to the NAIA District 18 All-Region First Team and was a GTE Academic All-American.
DONNY JOHNSON
A 1969 graduate of Bradford Area High School, Donny Johnson has been the team manager for men’s basketball at Pitt-Bradford since 1980. He is currently employed as a mail carrier in the Pitt-Bradford Mail Center.
For the past 23 years, Donny has bled Panther blue and gold and knows the Pitt-Bradford athletic schedules inside and out. There hasn’t been, nor will there ever be, a more dedicated Panther fan.
Donny is also very active in the community, participating in the Special Olympics, Bradford Little League, the Big 30, church activities and the Bradford High Boosters, to name a few. He has overcome many obstacles in his life to achieve the respect of all who know him. His love for the Panthers and dedication to the team has earned him the admiration of coaches and team members over the course of two decades.
