Bradford, Pa. -- The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference released its All-Academic Team honors for 2021-22, and 121 Pitt-Bradford student-athletes were recognized for their academic accomplishments.

The AMCC recognizes student-athletes that maintained a 3.2-grade point average during the Fall 2021 semester. The Pitt-Bradford athletic department’s 121 students was a 25 student increase in the number of awardees from the 2020-21 year. All of Pitt-Bradford’s 13 athletic teams that compete in the AMCC were represented on the All-Academic Team. The university’s wrestling program, which competes in the Eastern Collegiate Wrestling Conference, had 4 of its team members recognized by the ECWC in a similar fashion.

In addition to its All-Academic team, the AMCC also celebrates student-athletes who maintain a 3.5-grade point average as peak performers. Pitt-Bradford saw 66 student-athletes earn this award, representing all 14 intercollegiate programs.

“We are very proud of all of our student-athletes for their accomplishments in the classroom this year,” said Athletic Director Bret Butler. “They have worked extremely hard to achieve success both on the field of play and in the classroom."

Earlier in the week, the AMCC announced its team Peak Performance awards for the team in each sport that achieved the highest average team GPA. The Pitt-Bradford Volleyball won their 2nd consecutive award for their respective sport, finishing the fall with a 3.75 GPA. They not only had the highest team GPA within the conference’s volleyball programs but was also the 2nd highest of any team in all of the AMCC’s 16 intercollegiate sports.
