Four Panthers Earn All-Conference Accolades

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team had four of its players recognized by the AMCC on Wednesday, as they were named All-Conference performers for the 2022 season.

Sophomores Olivia Reese and Kayla Maslowski were voted to the 1st team, while seniors Tabitha Walker and Kaitlyn Sexton made the 2nd and 3rd team respectively.

Olivia Reese followed her impressive freshman campaign with a strong second season for the Panthers. The outside hitter finished the season 2nd in the AMCC in total kills with 292, and 3rd in kills per set at 3.31. In conference play, she was at the top of the leaderboard with 105 kills and 2nd in kills per set at 3.75. Reese also added 11 service aces, 33 total blocks, 145 digs and 9 assists. It is her second All-Conference selection, as she was named to the 3rd team and Newcomer of the Year in 2021. 

Kayla Maslowski was also selected to the first team, earning her first All-Conference selection. Serving as the Panthers' primary Libero, Maslowski was voted as the top defensive specialist in the conference. She led the AMCC with 411 digs and finished the year 2nd in digs per set at 4.19. In AMCC Play, she led the conference with 140 digs and 5.0 digs per set. Maslowski also added 85 assists and 34 service aces and was named AMCC Defensive Player of the Week one time.

Senior Tabitha Walker made her third appearance on the AMCC All-Conference teams in three seasons, making the 2nd team. The senior setter directed the Panther offense expertly, tallying an AMCC-leading 817 assists and finishing 2nd in the conference in assists per set at 8.34. Walker did more than provide the team with assists, as she also collected 258 digs, which was the 15th-best total in the conference. Walker also added 30 service aces, 18 total blocks, and 42 kills. She had previously been named to the 2nd team in 2021, and the third team in 2019 as a freshman.

Middle hitter Kaitlyn Sexton was the last Panther to be named to the All-Conference teams, the senior tallied 128 kills and 48 total blocks on the season. Those numbers put her in 23rd and tied for 6th on the conference leaderboard.  In AMCC play she finished 15th in kills with 48 and 6th in total blocks with 16. She also added 59 digs and 10 service aces. She was named to the AMCC Championships All-Tournament Team. It was her first all-conference selection.
