Walker Named AMCC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week

Bradford, Pa. -- Senior setter Tabitha Walker of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford volleyball team became the second player in as many weeks to earn AMCC Player of the Week honors on Monday.

Walker was named AMCC Offensive player of the week after directing the Panthers to two dominating wins during their home tri-match over the weekend. She tallied 40 assists in a four-set victory over Fredonia and then added 29 more in a sweep of Wells. She averaged 9.86 assists per set for the event. Walker also added 16 digs, three kills, two service aces, and three total blocks on the day, while hitting at a .375 clip.

This was the first time Walker has won a weekly player of the week award. She had previously been named 3rd team All-AMCC as a Freshman in 2019 and 2nd team All-AMCC last season. Teammate Stephanie Carson won Defensive Player of the Week last Monday.

The Panthers will only play once this week as they will head to Buffalo State for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday the 27th.
