MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team picked up a hard-earned road victory at Allegheny Tuesday, battling back from being down two sets to win the match in five.

With the decision, Pitt-Bradford improves to 7-8 on the season while Allegheny drops to 4-8.

The Gators picked up wins in the first two sets, 25-14, 25-22, coming just one set away from securing the match win at home.

But Pitt-Bradford extended the match as it regrouped for a convincing 25-9 win in the third set.

Then, the Panthers forced a decisive fifth set with a 25-17 victory in the fourth set.

Set five saw a tight battle between the two squads, but the Panthers used eight kills on 36 swings to take the narrow 15-12 set win and secure the comeback win.

Emily Cleveland knocked a game-high 13 kills while Elizabeth Johnson recorded 10 kills and Riley Anderson chipped in nine.

Tabitha Walker led all performers with 38 assists and also recorded five service aces.

Defensively, Alayna Seggi led the way with 23 digs while Katie Treat led the team with four assisted blocks and a solo block.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will return to the KOA Arena for a non-conference match with Fredonia Friday at 7 p.m.
