Emily Cleveland Named AMCC Player of the Week

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Junior Emily Cleveland of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

Cleveland averaged 3.41 kills per set and had 10 or more kills in four of five total matches this week, the ladder four matches against tough competition in the Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic at Wooster Friday and Saturday.

She hit at a .301 percentage, making just 17 errors with 58 total kills in 136 swings.

Cleveland added three assists and eight blocks to her stellar week.

For her performance during the four-match weekend tournament, she was named to the Ginny Hunt Classic All-Tournament Team.

On the season, she leads the AMCC with 156  total kills, while sitting third with 3.12 kills per set and fifth with a .242 hitting percentage.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will compete at Allegheny Tuesday before returning home to host Fredonia Friday.
