Panthers Wrap Up Action In Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic

WOOSTER, Ohio -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team wrapped up action in the Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic at Wooster College with a pair of matches Saturday, falling to the host Wooster and Baldwin Wallace.

Pitt-Bradford (6-8) dropped both matches in straight sets.

The Panthers started the day against Wooster (5-7) and held tough in all three sets, finishing each set within five points or fewer.

But the Scots won the match via scored of 25-22, 25-22, 25-20.

Katie Treat led the team in kills with eight while Emily Cleveland and Kamryn Piscitelli were close behind with seven apiece.

As the Panther setter, Gabby Barnes assisted 13 of the team's 29 kills.

Defensively, Alayna Seggi tied for the game-high with 16 digs while Cleveland and Elizabeth Johnson assisted three blocks apiece.

Then against the blemish-free 12-0 Baldwin Wallace, Pitt-Bradford once again held tough against the stiff competition but fell 25-21, 25-15, 25-18.

Cleveland led the team in kills with 10 and Barnes had as many assists.

Seggi and Stephanie Carson had six digs apiece while Johnson assisted four blocks at the net.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will head to Allegheny for a match Tuesday night before returning home to host Fredonia Friday evening.
