Panthers To Host Allegheny For Home Opener Tuesday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team will host Allegheny Tuesday at the KOA Arena for its 2018 home opener.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off an opening weekend in which it faced tough competition with four matches in the Scranton Invitational.

Laura Hildebrand was selected to represent the Panthers on the All-Tournament team after she logged 65 digs, 3.82 digs per set as the Panthers libero.

After opening weekend, Emily Cleveland leads the AMCC in hitting with 3.00 kills per set and 45 total kills. Her .289 hitting percentage is third best in the conference as well.

Katie Treat also put together a strong weekend, earning 0.81 blocks per set (second in the AMCC) and hitting at a .254 percentage (fifth in the AMCC).

Pitt-Bradford's setters also occupy the AMCC's assists top five ranking. Payton Orzech leads the conference with 7.10 assists per set, while Gesica Ferrar is third with 5.25 assists per set and Caitlin Cipriano is fourth at 4.67 assists per set.

Allegheny comes to the KOA Arena with a 2-2 overall mark so far this season. Jyl Russotti is the team's top hitter with 28 kills and a .377 hitting percentage.

Tuesday's match is set for a  7 p.m. start.
