BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team defeated Pitt-Greensburg in straight sets Saturday in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match and the team's final game of the regular season.

Prior to the start of the match, senior Erin Fagan was honored for her four excellent years as a Pitt-Bradford student-athlete.

With the win, the Panthers finish the season 14-12 overall and 7-2 in AMCC matches, tied for first place in the conference with Penn State-Altoona.

As the No. 2 seed, the Panthers earn a first-round bye and will take on the winner of No. 3 Penn State-Behrend and No. 6 Mount Aloysius in the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 4. Both the AMCC semifinals and championship match will be at the No. 1 seed Penn State-Altoona.

"It was nice to get the win on Senior Day at our home court," Head Coach Tom Roof said. "This win keeps us rolling, and earning a share of the conference regular season title is great. We have to take care of business next weekend, but I really like the way we're playing and think we're in a good position."

In today's match, the Panthers and Pitt-Greensburg started as evenly as possible, earning a 6-6 tie through the first rotation.

The two teams remained close before the Panthers broke away with Laura Hildebrand serving.

Pitt-Bradford eventually took set one, 25-13.

Set two began similarly, but the Panthers eventually pulled away and won convincingly, 25-15.

In the third set, Greensburg held an early lead but the Panthers took care of business, 25-20, with Fagan earning the final kill to secure the win.

For the match, Ally Easton and Emily Cleveland each had 11 kills to lead the game.

Of the Panthers' 45 total kills, Payton Orzech assisted 43 of them.

Hildebrand led the way with 22 digs while Riley Anderson had 13.

At the net, Anderson assisted two blocks to lead the Panthers.

The Panthers' semifinals match will be the second of the two games at Penn State-Altoona on Saturday, starting at 4:30 p.m. If the Panthers win, they will play in the championship match on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m.
