GENESEO, N.Y. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team fell in straight sets at Geneseo Wednesday night.

"Geneseo is a pretty great team, coming off playing against some top competition nationally," Head Coach Tom Roof said. "I thought we played hard and with a lot of heart. We just didn't block or hit the way we needed to in order to win games against teams this strong. Games like these are only going to help us as we get closer to conference play."

The Panthers hung tight with Geneseo in the third set as they two teams at one point saw a 7-7 tie. Pitt-Bradford later rallied and cut the deficit to two in a 14-12 score, but Geneseo then regained its rhythm and completed the victory.

Emily Cleveland led the way with seven kills on 19 attempts, and Erin Fagan had three on 13 attempts.

Payton Orzech assisted 10 kills while Caitlyn Schnell recorded eight assists.

Laura Hildebrand once again led the team in digs with nine.

The Panthers will be in action next in the Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic at Wooster College with three games -- one on Friday and two on Saturday.
