Panthers Women's Volleyball to Host Elmira for Home Opener Wednesday

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team will host Elmira for its home opener Wednesday evening at the KOA Arena.

The Panthers will get their first home action of the season after opening up the 2017 campaign in the Greyhound Premiere Invitational at Moravian this past weekend.

Pitt-Bradford earned a win in the four-game showcase, topping Bard in the second game of the tournament.

Senior Erin Fagan was selected to represent the Panthers on the All-Tournament Team after her team-leading 20 kills and 25.5 points.

Laura Hildebrand finished up the weekend at the top of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference dig categories with 100 total and 8.33 per set. Riley Anderson's 4.00 digs per set was the third-best mark of any player in the AMCC.

The Panthers also dominate the AMCC's blocks per set list, as Elizabeth Johnson (1.40), Emily Cleveland (1.10), Ally Easton (1.00) and Katie Treat (1.00) rank second, third and tied for fourth, respectively, on the conference's list.

Wednesday's match -- the first at the KOA Arena since the Panthers clinched the 2016 AMCC Championship last November -- will begin at 7 p.m.
