BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team dropped both games in the final day at the Greyhound Premiere Invitational Saturday morning, losing in straight sets to both the host Moravian then Baldwin Wallace.

"With so many new players, all things considered, we played very well," Head Coach Tom Roof said. "Some things didn't go our way, but we were very competitive and played with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. We learned a lot and did many good things. I'm really excited about what this team is capable of accomplishing."

The Panthers dropped the first set of game one by a score of 25-15, then managed a close second set but ultimately fell, 25-21.

In set three, the Panthers held a strong 12-7 lead mid-way through the set, but then allowed Moravian back in it. Moravian eventually took an 18-17 lead, but the Panthers wouldn't go quietly.

Down 23-18, Pitt-Bradford managed four straight points to force Moravian to take a timeout. One more point from the Panthers brought the score to 23-22, but Moravian would hold on the rest of the way, winning set three, 25-22.

Erin Fagan led the Panthers with seven kills, and Emily Cleveland topped her kill totals from the previous day with five.

Payton Orzech (14) and Caitlyn Schnell (10) both earned double-digit assist totals for the Panthers.

Ally Easton led the game with five blocks assisted while Cleveland blocked four.

In the tournament's final action against Baldwin Wallace, the Panthers once again got off to a slow start, dropping the two first sets, 25-13 and 25-14. They pressured Baldwin Wallace with a strong third set, but could not overcome as they fell, 25-21. 

Cleveland, Fagan and Riley Anderson earned five kills apiece. 

Laura Hildebrand had 14 digs and Anderson had 10.

As a team, the Panthers had 16 blocks assisted, and Fagan led the way as she had a hand in three.

For her performance in the four games, Fagan was selected to represent the Panthers on the All-Tournament Team.

The Panthers will compete next on their home court at the KOA Arena as they play host to Elmira on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
