Pitt-Bradford Wraps Up Unbeaten AMCC Regular Season

The Pitt-Bradford volleyball team wrapped up an undefeated AMCC regular season Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Pitt-Greensburg.

The Panthers' win over La Roche last weekend had already secured the No. 1 seed for the conference postseason tournament and a first-round bye, but the women put a stamp on a magical regular season by defeating the Bobcats 22-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-8.

It marked the conference's first undefeated regular season since 2014 when Penn State Altoona accomplished the feat.

The victory also represented the team's 23rd win, setting a new school-record for most wins during the regular season.

Kirsten Platz led Pitt-Bradford with a match-high 16 kills, and Erin Fagan totaled 11 kills. Alexis Dhayer finished with nine kills and Rose Thacker had seven. Christina Rauh tallied 35 assists, and Dhayer recorded four aces.

Defensively, the Panthers forced the Bobcats into 25 attacks errors and registered 22 total blocks. Dhayer logged a team-high 15 digs, Brianna Majot had 14, and Many Finch added 10. Platz register nine blocks, including four solo, and Dhayer and Thacker had five apiece.

The Panthers (23-5) will have the week off before hosting the AMCC Championships next weekend. Pitt-Bradford will await the winner of Wednesday's first-round matchup between Franciscan and D'Youville.
