The Pitt-Bradford volleyball team closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule Wednesday night, sweeping Keuka 25-19, 28-26, 25-19.

Despite hitting just .198 as a unit, the Panthers prevailed behind a balanced attack and their service play. Eight different Panthers registered a kill, and Pitt-Bradford totaled nine aces while capitalizing on 12 Keuka service errors.

The Panthers jumped ahead 4-0 in the opening set and never looked back, eventually stretching the lead to 10 on Brianna Majot's only kill of the night.

Pitt-Bradford rallied in the second stanza after trailing 14-6 and never led until 25-24. With the set even at 26 apiece, Rose Thacker and Christina Rauh recorded consecutive kills to complete the comeback.

Tied at 14 in the third set, Pitt-Bradford ripped off six straight points to go ahead for good, fueled by a pair of aces from Finch. Rauh forced match point with her sixth kill of the evening, and Thacker completed the sweep one play later with her team-leading eighth kill.

Kirsten Platz matched Rauh with six kills, and Finch added five. Rauh had a double-double of 21 assists and 12 digs, and Finch had a match-high four aces.

Majot led the defensive effort with 15 digs and Finch had 11. Platz registered three blocks, and Rauh and Thacker had two apiece.

Pitt-Bradford improves to 22-5 on the year and closes out the regular season Saturday at Pitt-Greensburg.
