Volleyball Opens AMCC Play with a Pair of Sweeps

The Pitt-Bradford volleyball team extended its winning streak to four matches Saturday, sweeping Mt. Aloysius and Penn State Altoona in an AMCC-opening doubleheader.

The Panthers hit .337 as a team and recorded 10 blocks en route to defeating Mt. Aloysius 25-11, 25-21, 25-22. Mandy Finch posted a double-double of 11 kills and 12 digs, and Christina Rauh also collected a double-double of 35 assists and a team-high 16 digs. Kirsten Platz finished with 10 kills, and Alexis Dhayer totaled three blocks.

Pitt-Bradford rolled past Penn State Altoona 25-22, 25-12, 25-11. Platz finished with a match-16 kills and a team-high three blocks. Rauh netted her second double-double of the day, tallying 25 assists and 10 digs. Emily Reitz and Finch each had nine digs apiece, and Rauh and Dhayer combined for four of the team's eight service aces.

Pitt-Bradford improves to 13-3 and hosts Penn State Behrend Wednesday at 7 p.m.
