Pitt-Bradford Finishes Second at Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic

The Pitt-Bradford volleyball team finished second at the Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic Saturday, splitting a pair of matches. The Panthers fell to Wooster 3-0 before rebounding to defeat Oberlin 3-1.

The Panthers finished the weekend 3-1 and Christina Rauh and Kirsten Platz were named to the all-tournament team.

Wooster swept the Panthers 27-25, 25-16, 25-21 to open day two of the event. The Panthers were limited to a .039 hitting percentage for and had nearly as many attack errors (27) as kills (31). Mandy Finch had a team-high seven kills and Platz and Erin Fagan had six apiece. Rauh totaled 24 assists and added 10 digs to post a double-double. Finch led Pitt-Bradford with 13 digs and Brianna Majot registered nine.

The Panthers knocked off Oberlin in their tournament finale 25-17, 14-25, 25-18, 25-11. Platz recorded a team-high 12 kills, Finch added nine and Alexis Dhayer and Fagan had seven each. Rauh tallied 35 assists and three aces. Finch logged 18 digs and Emily Reitz totaled 16.

Pitt-Bradford stands at 10-3 on the season and hosts Allegheny Wednesday at 7 p.m.
