Women's Tennis Shutout By Franciscan

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's tennis team continued Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action Friday hosting Franciscan at the Kessel Athletic Complex, falling 9-0.

With the result, Pitt-Bradford moves to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in AMCC action while Franciscan improves to 4-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

In doubles, the No. 3 duo of Jessica Jordan and Caroline Hance were the lone tandem to score on the Barons and fell, 8-1.

Then in singles action, Jordan put up a tough battle in the No. 5 spot and narrowly lost 6-3, 6-4.

Elanie Roberts (No. 1) and Abbie Buerkle (No. 3) both dropped their singles matchups 6-1, 6-1.

Aaliyah Smith (No. 4) and Hance (No. 6) both lost their matchups via scores of 6-1, 6-0.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will continue AMCC action as its heads to Mount Aloysius Sunday.
