Stoltz, Jordan Earn All-AMCC Honors

2017 Women's Tennis AMCC All-Conference Team and Award Winners

BRADFORD, Pa. – The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference has named freshman Jessica Jordan and sophomore Ashley Stoltz of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's tennis program to its All-Conference Second Team, officials announced Tuesday.

"We are incredibly proud of the accomplishments and well-deserved acknowledgments that Jessica and Ashley have achieved," Head Coach Susan Schenfield said. "This speaks volumes to their character and commitment to building a winning culture here at Pitt-Bradford. To have two players earn All-Conference recognition is a great honor for both our program and them as individuals."

In her first collegiate season, Jordan gave the Panthers consistent production from the No. 6 singles spot. The St. Mary's Pa., native earned five singles wins, all of which against AMCC opponents.

Jordan's five total conference wins out of the No. 6 spot were the most in the AMCC at that position.

In doubles action, she played in the No. 2 spot, splitting time with Maya Bingaman and Katelyn Wells to pick up five total wins.

A two-time AMCC Player of the Week this season, Stoltz led the Panthers with nine singles wins and eight against conference opponents. Playing mostly out of the No. 4 spot, she posted the third-highest singles winning percentage of any player in the conference at .818 (9-2).

The Bradford, Pa., native's eight AMCC singles wins is tied for the second most of any player in the conference, and her six conference No. 4 singles wins were also tied second-most in the AMCC at that spot.

In doubles action, she teamed up with Alexa Holleran in the No. 1 spot all season. The duo earned five wins, four of which against AMCC opponents.

Jordan and Stoltz were instrumental in the Panthers claiming a berth in the 2017 AMCC Championship Tournament after missing the playoffs in 2016.
