Stoltz Named AMCC Player of the Week For Second Time

AMCC Release

BRADFORD, Pa. -- For the second time this season, sophomore Ashley Stoltz of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's tennis team has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week for her performance during the period running from October 2-8, conference officials announced Monday.

"Ashley has been working hard to develop her game and become multi-dimensional on the court, and she's had a lot of success in doing so," Head Coach Susan Schenfield said. "She has come a long way as a student-athlete and she is an incredible asset to our team."

The Bradford native won both her doubles and singles matches Friday against D'Youville to help the Panthers secure the No. 6 seed in the AMCC playoffs.

On the team, Stoltz leads with an 8-2 singles record and she, along with doubles partner Alexa Holleran, picked up five wins in the top spot.

The sophomore was also named AMCC Player of the Week for the period running from Sept. 11-17.

Stoltz and the Panthers will take on No. 3 Penn State-Behrend in the first round on Saturday at the Westwood Racquet Club.
