Stoltz Named AMCC Player of the Week

AMCC Release

BRADFORD, Pa. – Sophomore Ashley Stoltz of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's tennis team has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the period from Sept. 11-17, conference officials announced Monday.

"It is exciting that Ashley's believe-and-achieve attitude has earned her this honor," Head Coach Susan Schenfield said. "Her consistency, defensive skills and leadership have greatly impacted our lineup this season."

The Bradford native is a perfect 5-0 in singles action so far this season and earned a pair of scores that reflect that blemish-free record with 8-0 (Wednesday) and 6-0, 6-0 (Saturday), without dropping a single set.

She was also perfect in No. 1 doubles this week, and her two wins Saturday helped the Panthers to their first victory and conference win of the season against La Roche, 5-4.

The Panthers will be in action next as they travel to Penn State-Altoona Saturday.
