Pitt-Bradford Swim Teams Head To Fredonia For Mid-Season Meet

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's and women's swim teams will head to Fredonia for their three day, mid-season meet from Friday-Sunday.

Joining Pitt-Bradford and the host SUNY Fredonia will be seven other schools: Allegheny, Alfred State, SUNY Brockport, Baldwin Wallace, John Carroll, Oberlin and Penn State-Behrend.

Friday will have the preliminaries and finals for the 500-freestyle, 200-IM and 50-freestyle, along with the 400-medley relay and 800-freestyle relay. 

Saturday will be a full day of action, with prelims and finals for the 400-IM, 100-fly, 200-freestyle, 100-breaststroke, and 100-backstroke, with the 200-medley relay and the 200-freestyle relay rounding out the day's action.

The closing day of action on Sunday will see the prelims and finals for the 200-backstroke, 100-freestyle, 200-breaststroke, 200-fly, along with the mile and the 400-freestyle relay to close out the event. 

For the Panthers men's team, Lucas Cerchiaro ranks sixth in the 200-IM (2:04.57) and second on the 400-IM (2:04.57) on the psyche sheet.

The Pitt-Bradford men's team occupies the top 10 of the 50-freestyle with Jared Schwab ranked fourth (22.06) and Benjamin Koss ranked sixth (22.57). Koss' time in the 200-freestyle ranks him third in the 200-freestyle (1:49.73) and second in the 200-backstroke (2:01.93). 

Corey Koss ranks fourth in the 100-backstroke with a top time of 56.27 in the 100-backstroke.

For the Panthers' women's team's team, Jillian Wright will swim the individual events 200-breaststroke with a top time of 2:51.27 and the 500-freestyle (6:28.42). Kayla Broad will swim the 50-freestyle (27.40) and 100-backstroke (1:12.20). Danica Andrews (50-freestyle, 100-breaststroke, 100-freestyle) and Beyleigh Duda (50-freestyle, 200-freestyle) will also swim individual events for the Panthers. 

Friday's prelims will take place at 12 p.m. with finals at 7 p.m. Saturday's prelims will take place at 11 a.m. with finals at 6 p.m. Sunday's action will begin at 10 a.m. with finals at 5 p.m.
