Women's Soccer Unable to Stay with Penn State Altoona, Fall 3-0

Altoona, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team was unable to pick up a win on the road as they lost 3-0 to Penn State Altoona on Saturday. 

The Lions dominated the first half of play as they outshot the Panthers 11-2 and scored two goals as the half came to a close. With the score still tied at zero, Pitt-Bradford was able to put two attempts on goal, one from Kiley Tuttle and the other from Taylor Sutryk, but were unable to score. The Lions were able to break the deadolock with a goal in the 38th minute, and then expanded the lead in the 41st. 

Emily Goetz looked to get the Panthers back into the game as the second half started as she took the first two shots of the half. She ended up taking 4 shots, all on target, but was unable to put one in the net. In the 87th minute the Lions added a third goal to put the game away. 

Goetz led the way for Pitt-Bradford with 4 shots on goal, while Sutryk added two others. Cassidy Fenner and Kiley Tuttle also recorded shots on goal in the contest. Emily Bethel made 6 saves in a losing effort.

The Panthers' record is now 4-11 with a 2-5 record in conference play. They will return to action on Wednesday, October 23rd, when they will take on D'Youville College under the lights in Buffalo.
