Bobcats Defeat Panthers In AMCC Opener Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team hosted Pitt-Greensburg Saturday for its Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opener at the Kessel Athletics Complex and fell, 7-0.

With the result, Pitt-Bradford moves to 2-7 on the season and starts conference play 0-1 while Pitt-Greensburg remains undefeated at 7-0 overall and starts AMCC action 1-0.

Pitt-Greensburg has allowed just two goals all season -- both coming in a 4-2 win against Chatham on Sept. 11.

The Bobcats came out strong and scored six goals in the opening half.

The final Greensburg strike came 12 minutes into the second half.

Greensburg outshot the Panthers 24-8 and put 19 on goal to the Panthers' six.

Kiley Tuttle led the Panthers with three shots -- all three going on goal.

Taylor SutrykEmily Goetz and Cassidy King put a shot on goal apiece.

In goal, Sadie Wood saved 12 of the 19 shots on goal she faced.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will be off for a week before resuming AMCC action and traveling to Mount Aloysius for a 3:30 start.
