Late Goal Lifts Geneva Past Panthers 1-0

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team hosted Geneva Saturday afternoon at the Kessel Athletic Complex.

After an 82-minute stalemate, Geneva (3-2) scored the lone goal of the contest and went onto defeat Pitt-Bradford (1-6) 1-0.

Geneva outshot the Panthers, 23-13, and put 11 shots on goal while the Panthers forced five stops by the Geneva keeper.

Pitt-Bradford's Taylor Sutryk put four of the team's five toal shots on goal, but none were able to find the back of the net to match Geneva's strike.

Kiley Tuttle also put a shot on goal for the Panthers.

In goal for Pitt-Bradford, Emily Bethel played all 90 minutes and stopped 10 of the 11 shots sent on goal.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will resume its homestand and host St. Vincent on Thursday.
