Alfred Tops Panthers Saturday

ALFRED, N.Y. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team competed in a road contest Saturday afternoon at Alfred and fell 3-0.

With the decision, Pitt-Bradford moves to 1-4 on the season and Alfred improves to 3-1.

All three of Alfred's goals came in the first half, as the Saxons scored right away in the fifth minute, again quickly in the 14th minute then again shortly before halftime in the 33rd minute.

In goal for Pitt-Bradford, Emily Bethel saved 13 of the 16 shots on goal she faced.

Pitt-Bradford fired a total of three shots during the contest.

Both of Taylor Sutryk's team-leading two shots went on goal.

Megan Rose also fired a shot.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will begin a four-game homestand starting with hosting Houghton on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
