ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Senior midfielder Courtney Shade of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team was selected to the All-AMCC Second Team, conference officials announced Tuesday.

"Courtney did a great job finding the back of the net for us this season," Head Coach Melissa Lincoln said. "She really led the team by example and her hard work paid off."

Shade led the Panthers and finished fourth in the AMCC with 11 goals, while her 10 goals in conference play ranked third in the AMCC.

The Bradford, Pa., native started all 17 games this season and recorded a team-leading 25 points.

Shade's season was highlighted by a four-goal performance against Hilbert (Oct. 3), the program's most in a single game since Melissa Smith scored the same amount against Hilbert on Oct. 28, 2014.

For her performance against Hilbert, she was nominated for the HEROSports.com D3 Women's Soccer HERO of the Week and won the fan vote. She was also fittingly named the AMCC Offensive Player of the Week.

On the season, Shade was a perfect 4-for-4 on penalty kick attempts and secured four game-winning goals.

Pitt-Bradford finished its 2018 season 5-11-1 overall and 4-4-1 in AMCC action, tying for the fifth-best conference record.
