Panthers Fall At Penn State-Behrend Tuesday

ERIE, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team traveled to Penn State-Behrend for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match Tuesday.

The Lions remained unbeaten in conference play and improved to 5-0 against AMCC opponents, 7-6 overall, with a 4-0 win over Pitt-Bradford (2-3-1 AMCC, 3-9-1).

"This was not the way we wanted today to go," Head Coach Melissa Lincoln said. "But we are ready to bounce back against Franciscan Saturday."

Both defenses held strong for the first 30 minutes of the contest until Penn State-Behrend broke the silence with its first goal of the game.

Nine minutes later, the Lions doubled their lead and eventually scored their third goal two minutes before overtime and took a 3-0 lead into the break.

They took the 4-0 lead in the 79th minute and went onto hold on for the shutout win.

The Panthers were credited with a pair of shot attempts, both coming from Meghan Stuck. She put one of the two on goal.

In goal, Emily Bethel saw 25 total shots sent her way, 14 on goal. She made eight saves.

Up next, the Panthers will play host to Franciscan Saturday. Kick off is set for 1 p.m.
