BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team picked up its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference win Wednesday in convincing fashion against Hilbert at a wet but sunny Kessel Athletic Complex.

The Panthers (2-8-1, 1-2-1 AMCC) erupted for a 9-0 victory over the Hilbert Hawks (0-10-0, 0-3-0 AMCC).

"It was good to get a win today and work to find the back of the net," Head Coach Melissa Lincoln said. "Hopefully we can keep the momentum going into Saturday's game against La Roche."

The 9-0 score is the largest margin of victory for the Panthers since Pitt-Bradford defeated Mount Aloysius with the same score on Oct. 17, 2009.

Courtney Shade led the Panthers' offensive eruption with four goals, bringing her season total to seven for fourth most in the AMCC.

Shade's four goals are the program's most in a single game since Melissa Smith scored the same amount against Hilbert on Oct. 28, 2014.

Grace Dadzaa scored a pair of goals while Jasmine Adams, Katie Anderton and Meghan Stuck each netted one apiece.

Stuck also assisted a pair of goals, and Sarah Maurer, Jade Adams and Shade each assisted one strike apiece.

Pitt-Bradford held possession of the ball in Hilbert's end for nearly the whole game, outshooting the Hawks 35-1, 24 of which on goal.

Emily Bethel started in goal for the Panthers but was relieved by Madison Feeser, who saw her first time in net this season. Neither keeper was forced to stop a shot on goal.

Shade scored the day's first goal 21:33 into the contest as Stuck fired a shot saved by the keeper, which allowed Shade to clean up the rebound and bury it.

In the 32nd minute, Dadzaa took off and drove hard toward the goal, juking out a defender and the keeper for a clean look at the open net.

Shade took a cross from Stuck three minutes before the half and found the net for her second goal to give the Panthers a 3-0 lead.

Six minutes into the second half, Jasmine Adams took a cross from Shade and knocked it home.

For her third goal, Shade collected a long, looping ball from Jade Adams that landed right in front of the goal and she finished.

In the 72nd minute, Stuck bent a free kick from about 35 yards out toward the left sideline past the keeper, putting the Panthers up 6-0.

Dadzaa's second goal came just a minute later and Maurer send a through ball her way in close and she put it past the keeper.

Anderton knocked her first career goal, a long ball from about 30 yards out in the middle that went over the keeper's head a minute after Dadzaa's strike.

Shade rounded out the scoring with her fourth goal in the 83rd minute as she had a shot saved, but she gained the rebound and sent it home.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will stay home and host La Roche Saturday for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
