BRADFORD, Pa. – A pair of second-half goals sent Penn State-Behrend past Pitt-Bradford, 2-1, Wednesday afternoon at the Kessel Athletics Complex in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match.

"I thought we put in a good effort in today's game," Head Coach Melissa Lincoln said. "I was glad to see us score first and go into halftime up. Behrend is a good team and gave us a good game."

Just five minutes before halftime, Grace Dadzaa received a pass from Abby Celesky in close on the left side and fired it past the Penn State-Behrend keeper to put Pitt-Bradford ahead.

The Panthers' defense held off one final Behrend corner kick attempt before the half and took the 1-0 lead into the break.

The two teams held equal shot totals in the first half with four apiece.

In goal for the Panthers, Sarah Dailey saved both shots on goal she faced to keep Behrend out of the net in the first half.

Six minutes into the start of the second half, Penn State-Behrend tied it up as a cross from the left side to the middle created space in close.

The Lions pressed on and took the lead nine minutes later at the 60:57 mark on a long, looping shot from the left side out of the box that sailed over the Panther defense and into the back-right corner.

Dailey stopped the next five shots she saw, and Pitt-Bradford defenders Abbey Kalin and Kahlee Bowen stopped key Behrend drives down the stretch, catching up and knocking the ball away to minimize the threats.

The Panthers pressed the rest of the way, looking for the back of the net to force overtime.

Celeksy fired a shot at the 82:31 mark that was stopped by the Lions' keeper, and Victoria Stump rifled one with a minute-and-a-half remaining that was also saved.

The 2-1 score eventually held until the final whistle.

In total, Dailey made seven saves in goal for the Panthers.

Pitt-Bradford put five of its seven shots on goal. Dadzaa, Celesky, Stump, Kaitlyn Williams and Kaitlyn Donnelly had one shot on goal apiece.

Dadzaa's goal was her second of the season and was just the second goal scored on Penn State-Behrend in its seven conference matches.

The Panthers will be in action next as they play host to Mount Aloysius on Saturday for Senior Day.
