GREENSBURG, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team put together a second-half outburst of three goals to defeat Pitt-Greensburg, 3-1, Friday evening.

"Due to different circumstances, we had to make some adjustments to the starting lineup, and I felt like the uncertainty showed in our play early on," Head Coach Melissa Lincoln said. "Unfortunately, Greensburg capitalized on that and got one early on us. We shook it off in the second half and came out strong. I was impressed with our play in the second half, as we possessed well and put the ball in the net. I was glad to see us come back from being down one at the end of the first."

Pitt-Greensburg jumped out to an early lead just 14 minutes into the game. The Pitt-Bradford keeper, Sarah Dailey, got a hand on it, but not enough to tip it wide.

The 1-0 deficit would hold into halftime, but Pitt-Bradford would waste no time in tying it up.

Five minutes into the second half, Kaitlyn Williams lined up a free kick from about 35 yards out and buried it in the upper-right corner, tying the game at 1-1.

Shortly after at the 69:11 mark, Williams fed Meghan Thomas a through ball that she chipped over the charging keeper's head to give the Panthers a 2-1 lead.

With under five minutes to go in regulation, Williams gave the Panthers some insurance as she scored her second goal of the game off a corner kick.

The win was the Panthers' fifth-straight win and third straight by the score of 3-1.

For Williams, this was the second multi-goal game of her career.

Thomas's goal was the second of her career and both goals during her time as a Panther have been game-winners.

Pitt-Bradford controlled much of the offensive game as it outshot Pitt-Greensburg, 16-6.

In goal, Sarah Dailey saved the lone shot on goal sent her way.

The five-game winning streak is the longest active winning streak in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference and is the longest the program has seen since the 2015 team won seven straight.

With the win, the Panthers are tied with Penn State-Behrend atop the conference standings with a 2-0 AMCC record.

The Panthers have outscored their opponents 12-3 during their win streak.

Pitt-Bradford will be in action next as it heads to Hilbert on Tuesday.
