Dailey Named AMCC Defensive Player of the Week

BRADFORD, Pa. – Senior goalkeeper Sarah Dailey of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the period running from Sept. 1-4, conference officials announced Monday.

"Sarah was crucial in our two big shutouts this past weekend," Head Coach Melissa Lincoln said. "She's been tested a lot this season already and has come up with multiple big saves on shots that could have resulted in game-changing goals."

Dailey – a reigning All-AMCC First Team selection – earned the honors after keeping both Alfred (Sept. 9) and Keuka (Sept. 10) out of the net to receive two consecutive clean sheets.

The Butler, Pa. native made 24 saves during the three games this week. In the 1-0 win at Alfred, she saved five shots while stopping eight in the 4-0 win at Keuka. Her save percentage for the week was .857.

Pitt-Bradford will play its home opener on Wednesday as Houghton comes to town for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
