Grace Dadzaa and Jasmine Adams staked the Pitt-Bradford women's soccer team to a 2-0 first half lead Wednesday afternoon and the Panthers went on to knock off Hilbert 3-0.

Hilbert entered the match unbeaten in conference play and winners of seven straight. The Panthers responded with their most complete effort of the season, posting its first shutout since defeating Juniata 1-0 on Sept. 7.

Dadzaa set the tone early, connecting for her third goal of the season in the ninth minute. Kaitlyn Donnelly found her with a centering pass from the left side of the box and Dadzaa beat the keeper with one touch.

Adams tacked on to the Panthers' lead in the 35th minute, tapping in Courtney Shade's pass from 15 yards out. It was Adams' team-leading fourth tally of the season.

Abbey Kalin capped the scoring with 12 minutes remaining, firing a strike from 18 yards out that hit the inside of the crossbar and bounced in. It was her first marker of the year and Adams was credited with the assist.

Pitt-Bradford dominated possession throughout the contest and the stats, outshooting the Hawks 16-11. Each team attempted two corner kicks. Dailey earned the shutout in net, collecting five saves.

"I thought today was a very good result against a team at the top of the conference standings," head coach Marquis Walker said. "We got off to a terrific start to the game and never looked back. We were very dangerous all game getting into the attack.

Our defense did a fantastic job of not allowing them time to build and attack. It was our best defensive effort to date."

Pitt-Bradford improves to 4-4-3 on the season and 1-0-2 in AMCC play. The Panthers host Franciscan Saturday at 1 p.m.
