Dailey, Stuck Lead Pitt-Bradford Women to First Victory

Meghan Stuck and Sarah Dailey lifted the Pitt-Bradford women's soccer team to 1-0 victory Wednesday at Juniata. It was the Panthers' first win of the 2016 season and the first of head coach Marquis Walker's Pitt-Bradford career.

Stuck connected for the game's only score in the opening minutes, finding the back of the net off a Kaitlyn Williams' corner kick in the eighth minute. The Eagles would dominate the stats for the next 82 minutes yet Dailey and the Pitt-Bradford defense would not break.

Juniata outshot the Panthers 23-3 and held a decisive 8-1 advantage in corner kicks. Dailey set a career-high with 13 saves, one better than her previous mark against Capital (Ohio) a year ago. With the Panthers clinging to the lead late, Dailey turned back one final attempt by Juniata in the 87th minute to preserve the win.

Pitt-Bradford improves to 1-1-1 on the season and will travel to Alfred State Sunday for a 3 p.m. match.
