Pitt-Bradford to Host Youth Wrestling Camp featuring Division I All-American

Bradford, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford's wrestling program will hold a summer youth camp in June where young wrestlers can learn techniques from coaches and other wrestlers, including two NCAA Division I wrestlers.

The camp will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7-9 for young wrestlers entering grades 3-9. The cost to attend is $100. To register, visit www.upb.pitt.edu/summer.

"We're really excited to have some young wrestlers come and learn from our coaches and student-athletes," said Head Coach Blake Heim. "This is a new opportunity for us, and we hope it will only grow in the future."

Along with Pitt-Bradford coaches and wrestlers, young wrestlers also will have the opportunity to learn wrestling techniques from a pair of NCAA Division I wrestlers, Cole Matthews from the University of Pittsburgh, and Gage Musser from the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Matthews, originally from Greenville, was a 2022 All-American for the Panthers. He also was a two-time ACC Champion and a four-time NCAA national qualifier. He has compiled a collegiate record of 83-25, including a 19-1 record this past season. He also won his weight class at the 2022 USA Under-23 World Team Trials.

Musser just completed his sophomore season at the Air Force Academy. Originally from Hadley, Musser attended Commodore Perry High School, where he compiled 128 wins and two regional titles. Musser has collected 14 collegiate victories for the Falcons.

"Cole and Gage are both fantastic wrestlers that I have had the opportunity to work with in the past," Heim said. "They bring a high level of experience and technique that will be a huge asset for our camp."
