Panthers Drop Dual at JCC

Jamestown, N.Y. -- The University of Pittsburg at Bradford wrestling team brought its regular season to an end on Friday as they fell to Jamestown 25-18.

The Panthers fell behind early and trailed 19-0 after 5 weight classes. They got on the board at 165 when D.J. Slovick was able to pin his opponent in 3:54. Colton Gietler picked up a win by forfeit at 174, putting the Panthers in a position to come back with the final three bouts. 

Unfortunately for Pitt-Bradford, Jamestown was able to win by decision at 184 and 197 bringing the result to a close. Cameron CArter-Greene picked up a win by forfeit in the heavyweight class to close out the scoring. 

Farhid Negahban was able to pick up an exhibition win after the match concluded, pinning his opponent in 2:34.

The Panthers will regroup and prepare to return to competition on Sunday, February 12th, when they will wrestle in the inaugural AMCC Championship meet. The meet will be held at Penn State-Behrend and begin at 10:00 a.m.
