Panthers Drop 3 at Waynesburg Duals

Waynesburg, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford wrestling team had a rough day against strong opposition at the Waynesburg Duals, as they lost all three matches in the event.

The Panthers, who were competing shorthanded due to injuries, lost their opening match of the day 56-0 to Glenville State, their second match 49-6 to the hosts Waynesburg, and 59-0 in their final match of the day to Washington and Jefferson.

Jestin Poruban picked up the only win of the day for the Panthers. Wrestling at 125, Poruban's victory put the Panthers ahead 6-0 to start the match. He pinned his opponent in 1:04 to secure the win. Nate Powley came the closest to picking up a win for the Panthers in the same match. Wrestling at 197, he fell on points 5-3. 

The Panthers will have off for the Thanksgiving Break but will be back in action on December 4th, when they will wrestle in the RIT Invitational.
