Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's wrestling team will return to the KOA Arena on Thursday night as they host Mercyhurst North East at 7:00 PM.
Last week, the Panthers hosted Jamestown Community College in a dual meet on Thursday, and traveled to Washington, Pa. on Saturday for the Washington & Jefferson Invitational. In the dual meet, they fell in close fashion 33-25. The Panthers wrestled well, winning 4 of the 7 contested matches of the meet. They finished in 13th place at the W & J Invitational.
Wrestling at 285, Mitch Dowd has led the team, as through three events he has compiled an 8-3 record on the year. He finished 3rd in the Season opening Adrian Invitational, won his match against JCC and went 2-2 over the weekend.
Eli Hernandez and Nate Powley have identical 6-4 records. Hernandez has wrestled at 133 and finished the season opening tournament in 4th place. Powley has wrestled at 165 and finished 7th at Adrian.
The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. in KOA Arena. There will be a live video stream and scoring updates can be found on the UPB Athletics twitter account.
