Wrestling to Host Jamestown CC for First Dual Meet of Season

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford wrestling team will host Jamestown Community College in their first dual meet of the season on Thursday evening.

In their second season of competition, the panthers will look to build off of their performance in the season opening Adrian Invitational. The team finished 6th overall at the event, with 4 wrestlers picking up individual honors. Mitch Dowd was the highest finisher for the Panthers, winning 3rd place in the heavyweight class. Eli Hernandez won 4th at 133 and Nate Powley and Derek Ridgeway each finished in 7th at 165 and 197 respectively.

This is the 3rd home event in the program's history. They lost both batches in a tri-meet with Brockport and Thiel, but won their first home dual meet against Penn State Behrend.

The meet will begin at 6:00 PM in the McDowell Field House.
