Gregg Hoover is entering his fifth season at the helm of the Women's bowling program. Hoover served as the Interim Head Coach for the close of the 2018-19 season and had previously been an Assistant Coach at the university since 2017.
Hoover has coached 5 bowlers to All-AMCC honors, including 3 1st team selections. Under his tutelage in 2021-22, Brookelyn Garvey was named AMCC Newcomer of the Year. He was named AMCC Bowling Coach of the Year for the 2021-22 season.
Hoover is a lifelong bowler who has been involved in the coaching and administration of youth bowlers since 2001. He received his USBC Level 1 Coaching Certification in 2009, Bronze Certification in 2014, and Silver Certification in 2015. He was certified by the IBPSIA in 2016 for Innovative Advance Pro Shop and Ball Motion Training.
Previous to joining the Pitt-Bradford Bowling Program, Hoover was the director, association manager, and tournament director of the Bradford USBC Bowling Association. Hoover also sits on the Pennsylvania State USBC Youth Board.
