Panthers Begin AMCC Round Robin with Win

Buffalo, N.Y. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford bowling team began its AMCC Round Robin on Friday night, with a 783-660 win over William Smith.

This is the Panther's second AMCC Round Robin of the season as it was originally scheduled for November, however, was forced to be postponed due to inclement weather and difficult travel conditions for the competing teams. The round-robin is set to be in the Baker format, with the winner decided by the highest total pinfall over 5 games.

The Panthers began the trip with a matchup against conference newcomers William Smith. Pitt-Bradford got off to a slow start, as they lost the first game 140-151, but were quickly able to jump ahead in the next two games, winning 171-121 and 187-142. They struggled in game 4, falling 125-127, but were able to secure victory with a strong 5th game, winning 160-119.

The Panthers will be right back in action tomorrow, as they will bowl 4 total matches, and will close the round-robin on Sunday with 5 more. Action is slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
