Panther Bowlers Drop Three Against Penn State-Behrend

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team lost three matches against AMCC foes Penn State-Behrend.

The day started with two traditional style matches. The Panthers fell in the first match 771-691 and followed it up with a nail-biting 694-691 loss in the second match. In Game 1, Chasity Kocher posted the high score for the Panthers with a 164. Jenna Lofaro also had a strong game, rolling a 150. The Panthers replaced two bowlers for their second game and finished with the same score. One of the additions, Emily Snyder, rolled the high game for the Panthers, finishing with a 151. Jordyn Graham had the second-highest score with a 143 and Kocher finished just behind her with a 142. 

Following the traditional matches, the teams faced off in 1 baker match. The match was a 5 game total pinfall competition. The Panthers fell in the match with a score of 729 to 682. Pitt-Bradford was unable to win any of the individual games but remained within 13 pins of the Lions in each game. Their highest-scoring game was Game 1, where they posted a 142. 

The Panthers will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Greensburg, Pa. for the Brother Pat Lacey Memorial Tournament. The tournament is scheduled for Sunday the 16th at 11 a.m. at Hillview Lanes in Greensburg. The event is hosted by Saint Vincent College.
