Kelsey Hammons Named To All-AMCC First Team

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Sophomore Kelsey Hammons of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team has been named to the All-AMCC First Team for her performance during the 2018-19 season, officials announced Tuesday.

"Well deserved honor for Kelsey," Head Coach Gregg Hoover said. "She bowled well for us all year. Happy to see the other AMCC coaches notice her skill and passion for the sport."

The Manheim, Pa., native finished the season with the AMCC's 14th best overall scoring average at 17.004 pins per frame.

Hammons also averaged 17.352 pins per frame in baker scoring, the eighth-best average in the AMCC.

As the Panthers' anchor, she helped guide the team to a 7-7 AMCC record and qualify for the conference championship tournament.

In the AMCC Tournament, Hammons was the team's top performer in traditional scoring, averaging 174.5 pins per game. On the second day, she led the Panthers with a score of 159.

For her performance during the AMCC Championships, she was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Pitt-Bradford finished the season 20-23 overall and fourth out of the eight AMCC teams, grabbing the final tournament spot. 

After a pair of competitive matches, Pitt-Bradford's tournament run came to a close in the Second Round.
